2008 is almost finished and the level of anticipation for the new year is bubbling over. The entire world expects great things to come in the future. GoodGirlPR is no exception to this feeling since we've had such an exciting and progressive few months. From September to now, we've been hands on in a number of great projects.
Back to the 90s: This event introduced the world to a new pair of entrepreneurs who were ready to take over the world. Being in conjunction with the VH1’s Hip Hop Honors, the turn-out was insane with people down the block in the rain, but the vibe was that of calm positivity. It made for a wonderful time.
The Annual Mixtape Awards Surprise DJ Red Alert: In the same week, the Justos celebrated DJ Red Alert’s 25 years of being an active figure in music on the radio. Hosted by the Wonder Twinz, numerous individuals who had been influenced by Red’s personality and drive, shared their love for the legendary DJ. Every testimony told the story of his life and theirs with him.
Mixtape Master’s Marathon: During the week of the CMJ Music Marathon, the Mixtape Awards had a remarkable event in Brooklyn. The top mixtape hip hop artists had a chance to display their talent in front of numerous press and industry execs. The extremely efficient and hardworking, Chris Rodriguez involved us in that. It was remarkable to say the least.
The 2nd Annual Ghost Ball: Thomas Jones and Kerry Rhodes of the New York Jets hosted our charity event for Safe Horizon’s organization. On Halloween night, Mercury Bar on the lower east side was packed wall to wall with patrons. Everyone had a great time getting together, dancing and admiring costumes.
Party At The Ivar: We took it to the west coast in early November. We had a party with Omarion’s official DJ, Rampage in Hollywood’s trendy Ivar. Definitely a different type of crowd, DJ Nickiee still rocked the place with her turn tables. Everyone was grooving with hands up and bodies rockin'.
Mr. Jones’ Listening Party: Versatile Inc.’s newest artist, Mr. Jones, put his talent on display when he let the world hear his new cd, I am the Island. The up and coming hip hop star is well on his way under the wings of the wonderful Versatile Inc. staff.We will continue our hard work into the new year.
